COFFEE-TIME

'Coffee and cake' is another thing that is very important to German people!

Every afternoon between 16.00 hrs and 17.30 hrs, a lot of German families come together for coffee-time. It's also a very important time for friends to meet up for a chat. German bakeries are full of lovely things to eat...

In some areas, they have special types of cakes.

For example, in Berlin they have Berliners, which are really like jam doughnuts!

There's also a special type of cake to be eaten with coffee, called a Kaffeestuck. They taste just like Danish pastries!

I could eat these cakes all day!

What do you think? Are the cakes in Ireland as nice as this?
