| Melborne is the capital city of Victoria in
Australia. It is the second largest city in Australia. It is estimated that
3.2 million people live there. Melbourne still has trams as part of its public transport. It even has a restaurant tram, where you can travel along and still enjoy your food while doing so! It has many public parks and gardens to offer, all which are near the city centre. The longest bridge in Australia is situated in Melbourne. It is called Westgate Bridge and it is over the Yarra River which flows through Melbourne. |

Canberra is the capital of Australia. It
is etimated that about 310,000 people live there. It is located in the Australian
Capital Territory. The man who disigned Canberra is called Walter Burtley Griffin and there is a lake in the centre of the city which is named after him. The word Canberra means "meeting place". The government buildings are situated in Canberra. Federal Parliment House is built on top of Capital Hill. It is illegal to display billboards in Canberra. |
| Perth is the capital of Western Australia.
It is a major tourist city. The Swan River flows through Perth. It has many fomous parks including Kings Park which has beautiful scienic drives as well as fantastic views of the city and the river. Perth is also famous for its zoo. It is the most popular zoo in Australia, with its beautiful gardens, walkways and picnic areas and of course its selection of animals. |

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland.
The inner city is surrounded by hilly suburbs. It is an ideal holiday location as it
is situated along the coast. Brisbane enjoys long summers and mild dry winters. It is packed with beautiful beaches, rainforests rivers and mountains. Moreton Bay is ideal for taking part in water sports. Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast are just within an hours drive away where beautiful sandy beaches and blue waters can be enjoyed!
